Pilibhit has been a stronghold of the BJP for over 28 years. In the 2019 general elections, BJP emerged victorious in Pilibhit along with Kairana and Muzaffarnagar. Varun Gandhi secured a big win with a record vote share of 59.4 per cent in the 2019 general elections.
In the 2014 general elections, BJP’s Maneka Sanjay Gandhi got the highest vote share of 52.06 per cent maintaining the two-decade long hold in the constituency.
