Narendra Modi LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh where he dedicated developmental projects worth Rs 19,100 crore to the nation. Virtually kicking off his campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, the Prime Minister said that his government was ensuring that no Labharthi (eligible beneficiary) is left out of the mabit of the Centre’s welfare schemes. “When government schemes achieve saturation… when 100% beneficiaries are covered… That is true secularism… that is true social justice,” the PM said. Addressing the massive gathering, the Prime Minister also invoked Ayodhya, former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh.
The PM said that developmental projects undertaken by his government have placed Uttar Pradesh at the forefront of national development. Invoking the Ayodhya Ram Temple inauguration, PM Modi referred to former BJP leader and UP CM Kalyan Singh and said that the late leader would have been happy seeing the Ayodhya Dham. The time, PM Modi said, had come to take “Rashtra Pratishtha” to greater heights to make India a developed nation by 2047.

PM Modi left Bulandshahr after the conclusion of the event. He is scheduled to arrive in Jaipur today evening to welcome French President Emmanuel Macron who is the Chief Guest at the Republic Day parade tomorrow.
The Prime Minister said that contrary to media reports, he wasn't in Bulandshahr to launch the Lok Sabha poll campaign. "Modi blows the bugle of 'Vikas' (development). Modi does not need to sound any poll bugle, the people do it for him. And that is my true strength, my asset."
The PM said that true secularism means no eligible beneficiary, regardless of caste or religion, is left out of the government's welfare schemes. "That is true secularism. That is true social justice."
PM Modi said that the government is aiming at saturation in terms of welfare measures. "Our 'Modi ki guarantee' vehicles are touring every town and district to ensure no Labharthi is left out of the schemes. We are aiming for saturation. And when there is saturation of welfare schemes, that is true secularism and social justice," PM said.
PM Modi said that the construction of pucca houses, toilets, and several farmer-friendly schemes have directly benefitted small farmers. "Earlier, small farmers were always left out of the ambit of welfare schemes. Today, all our schemes are aimed at ensuring that no Ladharthi is left out of our schemes."
PM Modi said that the time has come to take national prestige to grater heights and achieve the goal of making India a developed nation by 2047.
The Prime Minister lead an offensive against the Opposition and said that Uttar Pradesh was deprived of growth and thrown into the gallows of darkness under previous government. "But we have brought UP to the forefront of national development," Modi said, enumerating several developmental projects launched for the state under his government.
In his speech in Bulandshahr, the Prime Minister reiterated that the mantra of 'Dev see Desh' and 'Ram see Rashtra' must be taken forward.
PM Modi said that former CM Kalyan Singh would have been extremely happy had he seen the Ayodhya Dham. "Pran Pratishtha is now done. We now have to take Rasthra Pratishtha (national prestige) to newer heights," the PM said.

Lok Sabha elections: On Wednesday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee dealt a significant blow to the INDIA bloc of Opposition parties with her declaration that the Trinamool Congress will not contest the general elections in West Bengal in a pre-poll alliance with the Congress. The decision came after days of haggling between the two parties over a seat-sharing agreement. The Aam Aadmi Party also appears unlikely to tie up with the Congress in Punjab. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday said that the party will win all 13 Lok Sabha seats in the state. "We are not going to do anything like that," he said when asked on seat-sharing plans with Congress.
