Lachhmangarh Assembly Elections 2023 LIVE Updates: INC candidate Govind Singh Dotasra defeated Subhash Maharia of BJP by margin of 18,970 votes. Lachhmangarh is a prominent assembly constituency under the Sikar district of Rajasthan.
Rajasthan went under the polling process on November 25, 2023, for Assembly Election 2023. According to the latest assembly poll results and trends available on the Election Commission website, the BJP won 106 seats and was ahead in nine.
The Congress, which was hoping to buck the trend of the incumbent being voted out in the state every five years, bagged 60 seats and was ahead in nine.
Lachhmangarh witnessed a total of 76.47 per cent voter turnout. In the 2018 assembly elections, Lachhmangarh had a total voter turnout of 74.28 per cent.
Congress has a significant hold over Lachhmangarh constituency and in 2018 it emerged as the single largest party in the state. In the 2018 elections, Govind Singh Dotasara of the INC emerged victorious in the constituency, securing 98,227 votes. The runner-up, Dinesh Joshi from the BJP, trailed behind with 76,175 votes, a margin of 22,052 votes between the winner and the runner-up in the Lachhmangarh constituency.
In the 2023 assembly election, the Congress candidate Govind Singh Dotasra is competing against Subhas Mahria of the BJP in the Lachhmangarh constituency.

In Rajasthan elections 2023, official ECI trends reveal that BJP is ahead with 71 seats, Congress is behind with 46 seats, and BSP in two and RLD in one seat each.
The Congress candidate from Lachhmangarh constituency Govind Singh Dotasra is leading against Subhas Mahria of the BJP.
ECI reveals that in the Assembly of 199 members, Congress is leading on Kishan Pole, Chomu and Deeg-Kumher seats, and BJP has a lead on Chaksu seat.
According to Election Commission, Congress is leading on one seat out of 199 seats in Rajasthan Legislative assembly.
"The strong rooms have been accessed. The postal ballots have reached the Vidhan Sabha constituencies, and they are being opened with the presence of the candidates and agents...The situation is tranquil everywhere till now. All the political agents are present in their respective constituencies..." says District Election Officer Himanshu Gupta.
Congress leader Pawan Khera said "The results will be better than our hopes and expectations. We are retaining power in both Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. We will reclaim power in Madhya Pradesh and claim power in Telangana."
Counting across 199 Assembly constituencies begins at 8 AM. Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra said that he was confident that his party would form the government in the state with a full majority.
Govind Singh Dotasara of Congress secured 98227 votes and won Lachhmangarh constituency number 33 of Rajasthan in 2018. The closest contender was Dinesh joshi from BJP who received 76175 votes. The difference between the winner and the runner up in this seat in 2018 elections was 22052 votes.
