State Bank of India (SBI) has issued Electoral Bonds worth Rs 16,518 crore in 30 tranches since the inception of the scheme in 2018, Parliament was informed on Monday.
The Delhi government will offer free travel to people belonging to the third gender in DTC and cluster buses, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Monday.
He said a proposal for this will soon be passed by the Cabinet and the scheme implemented. "In our society, people belonging to the third gender are subjected to humiliation. The Central government granted states and Union Territories the authority to designate the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) as a banned organization under the UAPA anti-terror law. The government had previously extended the ban on SIMI for an additional five years on January 29, citing the group's involvement in promoting terrorism and disrupting peace and communal harmony in the country.

Bharti Airtel on Monday reported its third quarter profit for the financial year 2023-24 at Rs 2442.20 crore, up 53.8 per cent in comparison to Rs 1588.20 crore during the corresponding quarter of FY23.
