Bandra East Election result 2024 Highlights: In a closely contested race, Varun Satish Sardesai of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) emerged victorious in the Bandra East Assembly constituency, securing 57,708 votes, a margin of 11,365 votes over his nearest rival, Zeeshan Baba Siddique of the Nationalist Congress Party, who garnered 46,343 votes.
The battle saw intense competition, with Sardesai’s strong campaign securing him a clear win despite a late push from his contenders. Zeeshan Baba Siddique, who had hoped to replicate the success of his party, ultimately settled for second place, falling short of the Shiv Sena candidate’s support.
Other candidates in the fray, including Trupti Bala Sawant of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and Kunal Sarmalkar, an independent candidate, failed to gain significant traction, with Sawant securing only 16,074 votes. Sarmalkar, too, received a modest 8,520 votes, failing to make an impact in the face of the Shiv Sena’s robust campaign.
The remaining candidates, representing smaller parties and independents, struggled to make a mark, with votes remaining scattered among them, further solidifying Sardesai’s position as the uncontested winner in Bandra East.
