Ram Lalla was consecrated during the 84-second ‘abhijit muhurta’ by ‘pramukh yajman’ PM Modi with Rashtriya Swayasevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat by his side. Following the rituals, PM Modi offered lotus water to Ram Lalla’s idol and it was unveiled.
While addressing the invitees after completing the rituals, PM Modi said, “After waiting for centuries, hamare Ram aa gaye hai (Our Ram has come). He will no longer live in a tent.”

As people across India celebrated 'Pran Pratistha' of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal participated in the 'bhandaras' organised in different parts of the national capital. Taking to X, he shared a few pictures where he could be seen worshipping at a temple and later participating in the bhandaras. In his address to the guests, Prime Minister Narendra Modi credited the judiciary for preserving the sanctity of law in the Ram Janmabhoomi dispute. Expressing gratitude to the Supreme Court for its historic verdict, PM Modi said, "Ram's existence was questioned. Our judiciary ensured that justice was done and the temple was built in accordance with the law."
Speaking at the Ram temple event in Ayodhya, PM Modi said he tried to visit places during his 11-day religious exercise where Lord Ram had set foot.
"Today, I apologise to Lord Ram as something was lacking in our love and penance due to which this work (construction of Ram Temple) was not done for so many years. However, that gap has been bridged today and I am confident that Lord Ram will forgive us," says PM Modi.
PM Modi said, "January 22, 2024, is not just a date, but the beginning of a new era. The construction of Ram Mandir has filled people with a new energy. Even after thousands of years, people will remember this date and moment. It's Ram's supreme blessings that we are witnessing it."
