Aizawl West III Constituency Election Result 2023: V L Zaithanzama of the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) has won from the Aizawl West III assembly seat in Mizoram by a margin of over 4,000 votes. He has garnered 9,202 votes against his rival K Lalsawmvela of the Mizo National Front (MNF) who polled 4,620 votes. Congress candidate Lalsawta has polled 4396 votes. Counting in the Aizawl constituency began at 8 AM amid tight security arrangements. The results were declared after the completion of 2 rounds of counting.

The Aizawl West III Assembly constituency within the Aizawl district witnessed a contest between the state Congress chief Lalsawta, ZPM candidate VL Zaithanzama and MNF candidate K Sawmvela. In the 2023 Mizoram Assembly elections, the Aizawl West III Assembly constituency witnessed a voter turnout of over 76 per cent.

Aizawl West III Election Result 2023 Live Updates: V L Zaithanzama of the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) wins by a margin of 4,582. He polled 9,202 votes and defeated Mizo National Front (MNF) candidate K Lalsawmvela who gathered 4,620 votes.
As the per the data by the Election Commission, Zoram People's Movement has won 25 seats and is leading in another two constituencies.
The Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) crossed the halfway mark in early trends and was leading in 25 seats, besides winning one, as votes were being counted for the assembly elections in Mizoram on Monday morning, according to the Election Commission (EC), PTI reported
In the 2018 Mizoram assembly elections, the Mizo National Front secured a victory, winning 26 out of the 40 seats and securing a commanding majority. In contrast, the Zoram People's Movement won just eight seats, while the Congress party managed to win five seats.

V. L. Zaithanzama of the Zoram People's Movement is leading by a margin of 1,823, polling 4,541 votes while K. Lalsawmvela of Mizo National Front is trailing. He has polled 2,718 votes as of 10:30 AM in round 1 of 2.
