Punjab Elections 2017
Punjab, which went to the polls on February 4, has emerged as much of a high-stake elections for BJP and Congress as Uttar Pradesh. The state this time has seen the entry of Aam Aadmi Party, which, going by its past records could be a dangerous addition for all the traditional players. If BJP-Akali Dal alliance win, it would be seen as result of Narendra Modi’s efforts. However, BJP-SAD defeat would be attributed more to Badal’s misrule. The state has seen an endemic drug problem over the past decade, growing unemployment – the core issues on which Congress and AAP have been cornering SAD.
