Southern Railway has announced a detailed list of train regulations in the Palakkad Division after approving a Fixed Time Corridor Block. The planned maintenance work will lead to en-route regulation of several express and special trains on specific dates, causing delays ranging from 15 to 50 minutes.

West Coast Express, Kollam specials to face delays

As per the announcement, Train No. 22638 Mangaluru Central–Dr MGR Chennai Central West Coast Express, scheduled to leave Mangaluru Central at 23.45 hrs on January 15 and January 22, 2026, will be regulated en route for 20 minutes.

Several special trains originating from Kollam will also be affected. Train No. 07108 Kollam–Charlapalli Special, scheduled to depart at 02.30 hrs on January 7 and January 21, will be regulated for 20 minutes en route. Train No. 07134 Kollam–Nanded Special, leaving Kollam at 02.30 hrs on January 9, will also be regulated for 20 minutes.

On the same date, January 9, Train No. 07120 Kollam–Charlapalli Special and Train No. 07136 Kollam–Charlapalli Special, both scheduled to depart at 02.30 hrs, will be regulated for 20 minutes en route.

Longer regulation for select Kollam-origin trains

Some services will face longer delays. Train No. 07104 Kollam–Machilipatnam Special, scheduled to leave Kollam at 02.30 hrs on January 11 and January 18, will be regulated for 50 minutes en route.

Similarly, Train No. 07106 Kollam–Narasapur Special, departing at 02.30 hrs on January 13, will be regulated for 20 minutes, while the same train number running on January 20 will face a longer regulation of 50 minutes.

Another service, Train No. 07128 Kollam–Charlapalli Special, scheduled to leave at 02.30 hrs on January 12, will be regulated for 15 minutes en route.

Passengers travelling on these routes during January are advised to stay updated through official railway platforms and plan their journeys keeping the expected delays in mind.

In other news, Southern Railway also announced changes to train operations in the Madurai Division following the approval of a Fixed Time Corridor Block. The block, scheduled on multiple dates across the month, will lead to the diversion of several long-distance trains and the rescheduling of one service.
