A dense layer of fog covered Delhi’s skyline for the fourth consecutive day reducing the visibility. These dense fog conditions in the national capital have heavily impacted transport services, hitting train operations that have been marred by multiple delays. 

According to the statement issued by the Northern Railways, a total of 11 trains have been delayed due to dense fog in the north Indian states. On Thursday, around 22 Delhi-bound trains including Rajdhani Express were affected due to the poor visibility.

Dense fog in Delhi

Meanwhile, the weather department has issued a dense fog warning for several states, including Delhi, Haryana, and Chandigarh for the next five days. The Met Department stated that fog conditions would start improving from December 31 morning onwards.
