Rohit Bansal and Kunal Bahl — the founders online marketplace Snapdeal — have participated in a seed funding round in mobile services marketplace UrbanClap.
Urban Clap today said it has raised 10 crore in seed funding from SAIF Partners, Accel Partners and the founders of Snapdeal.
The company will invest the seed fund in expanding its team from 25 to 175 by September as well as scaling up its platform by adding more service categories.
“We will build up our platform and services portfolio as well as expand metros. The Rs 10 crore will mostly be utilised for these purposes,” UrbanClap co-founder Varun Khaitan told PTI.
Founded October 2014, UrbanClap helps find professionals across areas such as plumbing, wedding photography, yoga teachers, electricians and interior designers.
