RailTel Corporation of India has received an order worth Rs 970.08 crore from the State Project Director, Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC) for the establishment of Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs on a turnkey basis in government secondary and senior secondary schools of Bihar under the Samagra Shiksha scheme 2025-26.
In its regulatory filing, the company announced that as per the Letter of Acceptance (LoA), the project must be executed by September 24, 2026.
Rs 6,597 crore Bihar Education Project contracts boost RailTel order book
Earlier on Aug 9 RailTel had secured five contracts worth a total of Rs 6,597.56 crore from the Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC). The contracts includes: Rs 2,575.01 crore for setting up smart classrooms in government secondary and senior secondary schools; Rs 2,621.43 crore for smart classrooms in middle schools.
Other two orders include: Rs 899.19 crore for supplying teaching and learning material for Classes I to V. Rs 442.17 crore for ICT labs (supply, installation, testing, commissioning) and Rs 59.76 crore for ISM labs (supply, installation, testing, commissioning) with a December 31, 2025 completion target.
