KPI Green Energy has secured three orders worth Rs 128 crore from NTPC for setting up a green hydrogen project at NTPC Noida.

As per its regulatory filing, NTPC has awarded KPI green with three notifications of awards worth Rs 128.49 Crore (exclusive of GST), for green hydrogen project. The company added that it plans to set up a hydrogen project of 1 tonne/day at Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. The project has an operations and maintenance term of 2 years.
The project covers the design, engineering, manufacturing and supply of plant and equipment including mandatory spares on Ex-Works (India) basis, transportation, erection, installation, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning (excluding civil and structural steel works), safety-related aspects, civil works and structural steel works, along with operation and maintenance of the plant for a period of two years, KPI Green said in its statement.
Plasma gasification is an advanced waste-to-energy process that enables conversion of municipal solid waste (MSW), refuse-derived fuel (RDF) and agricultural waste into synthesis gas, which can be further processed for green hydrogen production.
KPI Green: Share Price
Following the order win, the share price of KPI Green closed at Rs 429, up nearly 2% from its previous close. Over the past five trading sessions the company’s stock has delivered a return of nearly 1%.
On the contrary, the share price of NTPC stood at Rs 322.4, down marginally from its previous close. Over the past five trading sessions the company’s stock has delivered a return of over 1%.
