The job
I love the opportunity my job gives to create new ways of entertainment consumption for consumers; constantly innovate from disruptive pricing to products, set up new businesses from the ground up, build passionate teams and adjust to constantly shifting goalposts.
My job requires multi-tasking and multi-presence at the same time. Infrastructural challenges on the road, unpredictability of traffic/ long commute etc make it very stressful at times.
The weekdays
My typical day begins around 6am. If I am not travelling, I spend an hour in the gym or jog in the 200 acre forest next to my house in Delhi.
Work starts from the time I wake up, as China, Hong Kong are a few hours ahead of India. But my full attention at work starts around 8.30am, when I sit in my car to go to office.
Conference calls discussions, meetings etc take up most of the day. I try to have lunch with a few colleagues every day.
The weekend
I occasionally go for a game of golf, get a relaxing massage sometimes and like to eat ‘comfort food’ at home. Evenings are spent with family or friends over drinks or dinner.
I also try to play badminton or cricket with my son, and go swimming. On Sundays, I spend time with my parents over lunch and maybe catch a movie.
The toys
My Le Max superphone is my constant companion.
The logos
For work I prefer semi-casuals from Uniqlo or The North Face. I find comfort in Nike shoes at work or simple sports boots. For evenings, it is Ferragamo shoes, Prada and Armani in clothes. Ravi Bajaj is my favourite stylist.
