HCL Tech has announced that it is expanding its partnership with The Standard, a US-based financial protection company. The agreement aims to deliver AI-powered infrastructure and application services that will help The Standard become more efficient, customer-focused, and agile.

HCLTech to support product-based IT model for The Standard

As part of the expanded partnership, HCL Tech will support The Standard’s transition to a more product- and service-based IT model.

The Standard will use HCL Tech’s AI Force platform, along with digital engineering and cloud services, as part of the collaboration between the two. These tools are expected to enhance customer experience and support The Standard’s growth in workplace benefits delivery.

To further strengthen this transformation, the two companies have created a Joint Innovation Council and a Digital Experience Office. These new structures will help drive scalable and user-friendly digital solutions for customers.

HCLTech’s investment in AI-led capabilities

Speaking on the partnership, Laxman Prakash, Chief Information Security Officer and Head of IT Infrastructure at The Standard, said, “The Standard’s growth journey has accelerated in recent years through digital transformation and acquisitions, and HCL Tech has proven to be the best partner to help us scale efficiently and seamlessly with its digital-first and customer-focused approach.”

Anubhav Mehrotra, Senior Vice President and Head of Insurance (North America) at HCL Tech, added that, “This collaboration underscores HCL Tech’s investment in AI-led capabilities and innovative talent, which have been pivotal in guiding The Standard through its digital transformation journey.”

 HCL Tech share price

The share price of HCL Tech has shown a steady upward trend in the last one month. It is up nearly 3% in the last 5 days and delivered 17% gains in the last 1 year. However, in 2025, the returns are in the red, down 12% on the back of uncertainty in the IT sector, tariff-led worries, and a slow pace for new deal wins.
