IT solutions provider Black Box Limited (formerly AGC Networks Limited) on Thursday inaugurated its new centre of excellence in Bengaluru. The new centre, which aims to provide employees a conducive environment to collaborate and optimise business operations, is expected to increase the firm’s margin by around Rs 50 crore in the near term. To strengthen its global expansion plans, the company will create 500 additional jobs in India.

Black Box, one of Essar’s key investments in the technology and retail sector, is looking to fortify its presence in crucial domains like data centre services, networking solutions and cybersecurity offerings.

Spanning 50,000 square feet, the facility is home to cutting-edge R&D Labs, command centres, client-tailored offshore delivery centres and dedicated discussion rooms, designed to foster teamwork across regions. With this, the company is poised to expand its service portfolio, covering program management, solutions engineering, managed services etc. and serve as a global response centre, said the company in a statement.

Sanjeev Verma, executive director of Black Box Limited and president and CEO of Black Box Corporation, said, “We are committed to delivering excellence in digital infrastructure solutions. These are exciting times at Black Box, as we look forward to servicing our global clients from this strategic centre.”
