It’s November 1, and as always, the focus is on the auto sales data. The October sales are particularly of interest as they are going to reflect the full impact of the GST new rate implementation as well as the festive boost to sales.
The automotive industry is betting on robust sales across segments, including PVs, tractors, two-wheelers, as well as medium and heavy commercial vehicles (MHCVs).

The Dhanteras and Diwali sales already indicate a robust momentum in October. According to brokerage estimates, two-wheelers and SUVs are set to see strong traction. However, in comparison, commercial vehicle sales may remain flat on a year-on-year basis.
