Ahluwalia Contracts (India) has secured a construction order worth Rs 888.38 crores from Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation.

The company in its regulatory filing said that the project involves the construction and overall development work of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra at Punauradham, believed to be the birthplace of Goddess Sita, located in Sitamarhi district of Bihar.

Civil construction work to be executed under EPC model

The order has been awarded on an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) basis and falls under civil construction works. The company is required to complete the project within a period of 42 months.

Ahluwalia Contracts (India) is primarily engaged in civil construction and executes projects on EPC, design-build and turnkey modes. It works closely with central and state governments, PSUs and leading private developers

Its portfolio spans commercial and institutional buildings, hospitals, hotels, housing projects, industrial units, metro depots, airports, educational institutions and public infrastructure.

Share price of Ahluwalia Contracts

The share price of Ahluwalia Contracts opened in green on Wednesday trade surging 4.60% from the previous day close. On YTD basis, the stock had declined 4.77% so far this year.
