CG Power and Industrial Solutions has appointed Amar Kaul as the next Managing Director & CEO for 5 years beginning July 25. He replaces the incumbent Managing director N Srinivasan. Srinivasan had led the company since its takeover by Tube Investments of India in 2020. Vellayan Subbiah, as the Chairman of CG Power, will continue to provide strategic guidance and oversight over the governance process.
Amar Kaul has over 30 plus years of total work experience, 12 years of which has been overseas. Kaul was in the executive leadership position leading EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa) region for compression systems & services in Ingersoll Rand. He also served as the Chairman and Managing Director of Ingersoll Rand. Prior to this, he held senior leadership positions in Bharat Forge and Delphi. Amar Kaul has proven ability to strategize, execute and manage high growth P&L and foster innovation across Engineering, Capital Goods sector, Automotive Industry, sectors that are important to CG Power.
CG Power is an Indian multinational company engaged in design, manufacturing, and marketing of products related to power generation, transmission and distribution. It is a pioneer and has retained its leadership position in the management and application of electrical energy.
Earlier in March, CG Power formed a joint venture with Renesas and Stars Microelectronics for the assembly and testing of semiconductor chip units. With its legacy and advanced chip packaging, the company caters to industries such as automotive, consumer, industrial and 5G. CG Power holds a 92.3% in the joint venture, while Renesas and Stars Microelectronics hold 6.8% and 0.9%, respectively.
