Google specified on bringing the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) towards its products and services, at the Google for India, held in Delhi, today l. The technology giant emphasised that AI has enabled Google to reimagine ways of understanding utilities related to a search engine.
With this powerful new technology, we can unlock new types of questions you never thought Search could answer, and transform the way information is organised, to help you sort through and make sense of what’s out there, Google India stated. The firm highlighted that earlier this year, Google shared steps for bringing a new Search definition, through launching its generative AI experience (Search Generative Experience, or SGE), in an experimental form in Search Labs, in English and Hindi. “Gen AI is impacting businesses globally. The company is the partner for 1000 of Indian companies. Enterprises, SMB, and governments are using Google’s gen AI. Gen AI will democratise the use of technology,” Bikram Singh Bedi, MD, Google Cloud India, said.
The company further added that SGE has been receiving positive response in the country with users appreciating and engaging with its India-focussed features, including a language toggle button that helps people switch between English and Hindi overviews, and a text-to-speech feature that’s helping people complete tasks while listening to responses.
Google also plans for develop new AI-based capabilities in India, which will be fuelled by images and videos along with their overviews. It’s believed that Google’s generative AI experience will enable a seamless way of exploring local ways and finding things to do. Many users in India come to Search for authoritative information related to government schemes, and we want to simplify that experience. According to the in the coming weeks, its generative AI experience in Search will help users in India easily navigate and access critical information of over 100 government schemes spanning crucial areas such as employment, housing, healthcare, farming, women’s welfare, and more, in English and Hindi.
Furthermore, the tech company will roll-out a new product on Google Lens to enable people to look for skin conditions visually, in resemblance to what they see on their skin.
