Sudha Reddy, chairperson of the Sudha Reddy Foundation and director at Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd. (MEIL), has been named the first-ever Global Ambassador for the Miss World Organisation. The announcement was made at the 72nd Miss World Festival Grand Finale.
In her new role, Reddy will represent “Beauty With A Purpose,” the charitable arm of Miss World. She will lead international outreach and support global humanitarian efforts under the organisation’s platform. As part of her engagement, Reddy will work on development-focused projects and represent Miss World at various events.
She also served on the jury at the Miss World 2025 Grand Finale.
Ahead of the finale, Reddy hosted the Beauty With A Purpose Gala at her residence, Mon Amour Palais, which was attended by 108 contestants. The gala was also broadcast in Times Square, New York.
During the event, Reddy delivered remarks referencing her foundation’s values and stated her intent to promote global philanthropy. She emphasised extending support across borders and said her approach was based on the idea of the global community, or “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.”
Julia Morley, chairperson and founder of the Miss World Organisation, presented the ambassadorship and cited Reddy’s involvement in global philanthropy.
Reddy also heads the Sudha Reddy Foundation, which works in areas such as education and support for marginalised groups. The foundation has worked with groups including UNICEF and the Global Gift Foundation.
In addition to her foundation work, Reddy is a director at MEIL, a Hyderabad-based infrastructure company. The company has engaged in several community development and public welfare programs.
Reddy has represented Indian organisations at international events including the Met Gala, the Paris Olympics, and the Cannes Film Festival.
