Sony Sports Network (SSN) has signed a three-year deal to telecast the Hockey India League (HIL), starting with the 2024-25 season. The league, featuring top players from Indian and international hockey, will be broadcast in multiple languages across the network’s channels.

The upcoming HIL season kicks off on December 28, 2024, with matches set to take place in Rourkela and Ranchi. SSN will air the games on Sony Sports Ten 1 (English), Sony Sports Ten 3 (Hindi), and Sony Sports Ten 4 (Tamil and Telugu) channels, in both Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD).

This multi-channel, multi-language approach aims to cater to hockey fans across regions, offering commentary in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu to enhance accessibility.

The inclusion of Tamil and Telugu broadcasts is expected to draw in audiences from the southern states, expanding the reach of the league. Both the men’s and women’s leagues will feature prominently, providing a platform for domestic and international talent.
