Why the campaign rocks:
Art. Technology. Magic. The ad is a stunning showcase of how art and technology can come together to create a magical and uplifting experience for the viewers. It features a classic glass bottle of Coke traveling through different paintings, from Andy Warhol’s pop-art to Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, passing through various styles and eras of art history. The bottle serves as a link between the different artworks, as well as a source of inspiration and refreshment for a bored art student who is sketching in the museum.
The advertisement is a remarkable feat of post-production.
The paintings come to life in realistic and imaginative ways, interacting with the bottle and with each other. It also pays homage to the original artists and their techniques, replicating their brushstrokes, colours, textures, and perspectives and also includes elements such as 3D billboards. The ad celebrates the diversity and universality of art and Coca-Cola as well as their ability to connect people across time and space.
