NODWIN Gaming has partnered with the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) to manage media rights sales and distribution across South Asia, including India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and surrounding countries.
Under the agreement, NODWIN will be responsible for overseeing the media rights strategy for the Esports World Cup (EWC) in the region. The company will also serve as the EWCF’s marketing partner for India, developing localised campaigns to promote the event.
The EWCF is the nonprofit organisation behind the EWC, a multi-title esports competition that launched in 2024. The inaugural edition featured 1,500 players and 200 teams from more than 100 countries, competing across 21 titles for a $60 million prize pool. The event drew approximately 500 million online viewers and 2.6 million in-person attendees.
NODWIN Gaming has experience in distributing esports content through television and OTT platforms. Its past work includes the Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series, the eISL (in collaboration with Football Sports Development Limited), VALORANT Challengers South Asia, and other regional gaming events.
“The Esports World Cup is a landmark moment for global esports,” said Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming. “We aim to make world-class esports content more accessible across South Asia.”
EWCF COO Mike McCabe noted that the partnership reflects the Foundation’s intent to expand its global footprint while ensuring regional engagement. “South Asia represents a fast-growing gaming market, and NODWIN brings strong local expertise to the table,” he said.
The EWCF has stated that its goal is to support the long-term development of esports by reinvesting proceeds into the industry.
