Kaivalya Vohra and Aadit Palicha, the 22-year-old co-founders of quick commerce platform Zepto, have emerged as the top-ranked entrepreneurs in the first edition of the Avendus Wealth Hurun India Uth Series 2025 – Under 30 list. The new list highlights 79 young founders who are building high-impact businesses and shaping the future of India’s startup economy.
Among the standout names on the list is Aravind Srinivas, co-founder of AI search startup Perplexity, who commands a significant digital presence. With a LinkedIn following of 3.8 lakh, he holds the highest social media reach among all featured entrepreneurs, reflecting both his industry influence and growing resonance with India’s digital-first professional community.
Released on Thursday, the Uth Series recognises under-30 entrepreneurs who have made notable contributions across industries, from technology and logistics to healthcare, finance, and consumer goods.
Among the names featured are AVR Shree Smaran of AVR Swarna Mahal Jewellers, Arjun Deshpande of Generic Aadhaar, Shiva Sankeshwar of Vijayanand Travels, Rahul Rawat of space-tech startup Digantara, and Mihir Menda of RMZ Boston.
The list also reflects growing investor interest in rapid commerce, with Ujjwal Sukheja, Saran S, and Aniket Shah, co-founders of another quick delivery app, Swish, securing spots. While the model faces logistical hurdles, it continues to attract attention for its consumer reach and tech-led scale.
Software products and services emerged as the most represented sector, with 21 entrepreneurs leading ventures such as Perplexity, Zupee, and Pixis. Consumer goods followed with 12 names, while financial services contributed nine founders from startups like BharatPe and Svatantra Microfin.
The geographic spread of the list reflects India’s growing startup hubs, with Bengaluru hosting 14 of the ventures, followed by Mumbai with 10 and Gurugram with 7. The inaugural edition also drew attention to the underrepresentation of women, with just six featured in the 79-member list. Among them are Ananya Birla, Romita Mazumdar, Radhika Ambani, Vrushali Prasade, Devanshi Kejriwal, and Devika Gholap, whose work spans AI-driven healthcare, pharma, beauty, edtech, microfinance, and martech.
“This cohort is proof that India’s startup ecosystem is maturing – not just in valuation, but in vision,” said Anas Rahman Junaid, Founder and Chief Researcher at Hurun India. “From sustainable business models to global ambition, these founders are not just scaling fast but building with purpose.”
Apurva Sahijwani, Managing Director & CEO, Avendus Wealth Management, added that today’s young entrepreneurs are “starting earlier, scaling faster, and redefining conventional career paths.”
The ventures led by the Under-30 cohort have collectively raised over $5 billion in equity funding and $270 million in startup debt, according to the report. Together, these startups have generated more than 64,000 jobs — a signal of their broad economic and social footprint.
This Under-30 list is the first in the Uth Series, which will later expand to include founders under 35 and 40. The initiative aims to spotlight emerging leadership that is not only disrupting industries but also reshaping India’s position in the global innovation economy.
