Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Pratik Kamdar, CEO and co-founder, Neuron Energy, talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.

What is the one thing you like to do when not working?

I am passionate about work, often dedicating up to 12 hours a day in a week. I thrive on productivity and find inspiration in the pursuit of excellence. However, when I am not immersed in work, I deeply enjoy watching movies. It’s like indulging in a comforting treat for me. I am also enthusiastic about sports, especially Golf, Cricket and Squash. They keep me active both mentally and physically. These activities provide the perfect balance to my work-focused life.

How do you spend your weekends?

After a fully loaded week of work, weekends are my favourite time. I like to spend it doing some of my favourite activities like a round of golf, which is a great way to stay active and also a perfect opportunity to enjoy some fresh air and challenge myself. I also love to travel whenever I can, exploring new places and experiencing different cultures and food. These activities make my weekends both relaxing and enriching.

What are your favourite gadgets?

My favourite gadgets are my mobile phone and iPad. My mobile phone keeps me connected and organized throughout the day, while my iPad is my go-to device for my work. Both are indispensable tools that enhance my productivity and leisure time.

Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?

Many people did not know that sports has been my passion, particularly golf and cricket. In my previous times, I dedicated a lot of time to these pursuits. Still, with time, my research and interest grew towards the clean energy initiative as this is a significant step towards the upward mobility of our environment. This realisation led me ahead into the EV battery industry. However, if not for this, I would have pursued a career as a Golfer or Cricketer.

Which is your favourite vacation spot?

I love travelling and exploring places that are rich in beauty and culture. I consider myself a hodophile and my favourites are the Himalayas, which offer some stunning natural beauty, Budapest, which is rich in history and culture, and Maldives, which is a perfect getaway for beach destinations.

A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching

My interest lies in the series that are grounded and have humorous notions like “Panchayat”. Also, “Friends” which is still one of the most loved series by many of us. Both are beloved for their unique wit and relatable characters, while “Shawshank Redemption” and “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” are classics that offer deep, inspiring stories. While talking about a campaign, The HUL “Start a Little Good” campaign is my favourite as it focuses on a meaningful change.
