Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Su Piow Ko, CEO, AET, talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
I enjoy exploring new technologies and innovations that aren’t necessarily work-related but expand my curiosity. I also love spending time outdoors, appreciating nature’s simplicity as a contrast to my professional life in tech.
How do you spend your weekends?
Weekends for me are a time to recharge and spend quality time with family and friends. I usually start my mornings early, waking up at 4 am for a 3km run. Running helps clear my mind and keeps me energized throughout the day. Whether it’s taking a short trip, enjoying a nice meal together, or simply reading a good book, I believe in balancing activity and relaxation.
What are your favourite gadgets?
I’m a fan of wearable tech, particularly smartwatches that keep me connected and track my health. I also love high-performance laptops, which I rely on for both work and leisure. Having spent decades in the electronics and semiconductor technology industry, I’m always open to new gadgets—especially those that help make life more organized and efficient. Whether it’s smart home devices or productivity tools, I enjoy gadgets that offer real convenience.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
If not in the tech and display industry, I would have pursued a career in architecture. The idea of designing spaces that balance aesthetics and functionality fascinates me.
Which is your favourite vacation spot?
India has always held a special place in my heart as a favorite vacation spot. The rich diversity, cultural heritage, and breathtaking landscapes offer a mix of experiences, from vibrant cities to serene countryside. Whether it’s visiting the historic monuments or exploring India’s natural beauty, it’s always an inspiring and rejuvenating trip.
