Earlier this year, ICICI, India’s largest private bank launched banking services utilising Twitter called #ICICIBankpay which gives @ICICIBank customers more facilities right at their fingertips. You can use the service, to transfer money, for checking your balance and recent transactions as well as recharge that all important mobile prepaid plan.

ICICI and Kotak Mahindra used Twitter’s publicly available APIs to build much of their service.

Initiatives like this one make it easy for developers and brands to use the power of Twitter and integrate with the platform.
