Rolls-Royce has unveiled its first fully-electric ultra-luxury car, the Spectre. The new Rolls-Royce Spectre will be positioned between the Cullinan and the Phantom in the company’s portfolio.

Termed the ‘Ultra-Luxury Electric Super Coupé’, this two-door EV fastback is inspired by the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe and is expected to hit the roads in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Being a Rolls-Royce offering, the Spectre sports luxurious interiors and is loaded with features up to the gills. Its front passenger dashboard has the Spectre nameplate and is made up of a cluster of over 5,500 illuminated LEDs.

Rolls-Royce is well-known for its Starlight Headliner under the roof, but now the Spectre gets the dazzling star-like effect on its door panels as well. Its Starlight doors are made up of 4,796 LEDs.

Rolls-Royce says that the new Spectre is the company’s most connected car as it is equipped with a new software platform called Spirit. It can even replicate the colour of the dials with the interior of the cabin.

The seats of the Rolls-Royce Spectre are completely new and its rear units are integrated with the interior body panels. It features bespoke stitching, embroidery and intricate piping. Moreover, there are a host of customisation options as well.

In terms of dimensions, the Rolls-Royce Spectre will measure 5453 mm in length, 2080 mm in width, 1559 mm in height, and it will have a wheelbase of 3210 mm. This ultra-luxury EV’s kerb weight is 2975 kg.

Rolls-Royce hasn’t revealed the final specifications of the Spectre as it’s undergoing the final phase of testing. As per the preliminary figures, the Spectre will offer a range of 520 km per charge (WLTP cycle).

The powertrain of this uber luxurious electric car is likely to develop 576 bhp and 900 Nm of peak torque. It is expected to go from 0-100 kmph in 4.5 seconds.

Rolls-Royce has started accepting bookings for the Spectre globally. It will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2023 and the deliveries will commence immediately in the global market.
