Acknowledging that the India-Composite Dialogue process (CDP) is in a pause mode because of the Mumbai terror attacks, external affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee has said that Islamabad has to act fast and fulfill its commitments and hand over the 40 wanted persons to India.

Mukherjee said, Yes, after the Mumbai terror attack there is a pause in the CDP between India and Pakistan. India was expecting Pakistan to act fast against perpetrators of the attack who are across the border. Asked if India will go to war against Pakistan if it does not hand over the 40 wanted persons to India, the external affairs minister said that war is no option.

Defence minister AK Antony, too, ruled out a military action against Pakistan. He said, We are not planning any military action... but at the same time, unless Pakistan takes actions against those terrorists who are operating from their soil against India and also against all those who are behind the Mumbai terrorist attack, things will not be normal, he said.
