Prices of saria rose by Rs 300 per tonne on the local steel market today on fresh buying by stockists on pick up in demand from constructions units.

Traders said stockists buying on the back of a rise in demand from constructions units mainly pushed up saria prices.

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm were up by Rs 300 each to Rs 46,600, Rs 46,900 and Rs 45,300, while 16-25-mm traded higher by the same margin to Rs 45,900 per tonne, respectively.

CTD saria (Kamdhenu): 8-mm 46,600, 10-mm 46,900, 12-mm 45,300, 16-25 mm 45,900.

Amba shakti (TMT): 8-mm 41,900, 10-mm 41,000, 12-mm 40,400, 16-25 mm 40,800.
