The local steel market remained steady today, as prices continued to trade in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile buying support and settled around previous levels.

The local steel market remained steady today, as prices continued to trade in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile buying support and settled around previous levels.

Traders said lack of worthwhile buying support against adequate stocks position mainly kept steel prices unaltered.

The following are today’s quotations (in Rs per tonne):

CTD saria (Kamdhenu): 8-mm 46,700, 10-mm 46,900, 12-mm 45,400, 16-25 mm 46,000.

Saria Jai Bharat (TMT): 8-mm 45,300, 10 mm 44,500, 12-mm 43,800,16-25 mm 44,100.

Amba shakti (TMT): 8-mm 41,700, 10-mm 40,800, 12-mm 40,200, 16-25 mm 40,600.

MS Angle: (50×5) (50×6) 33,000, (40×5) (40×6) 33,500. Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40×6) 36,900, (35X5) (65X6) 33,900. Girder 125X65 RS 39,300.
