Lender has withdrawn default notices: HDIL
Housing Development and Infrastructure (HDIL) said on Monday Indiabulls Housing Finance has withdrawn default notices against its promoters after they paid the interest on a mortgage loan taken for personal use. The promoters have paid Indiabulls R3.22 crore after they were issued a notice by the lender on July 19, the company said in a statement. ?We had taken the loan in our personal capacity keeping our Goa property as the loan?s collateral,? said Sarang Wadhawan, vice-chairman and managing director, HDIL. “The interest on the loan is now being paid, the account has been standardised and the lenders have withdrawn the notices issued to us,” said Wadhawan.

Bajaj Hindusthan Q3 loss widens to R157.47 crore
The country?s largest sugar firm, Bajaj Hindusthan, said Monday its loss for the quarter ended June 30 widened to R157.47 crore, mainly on account of lower sales and higher finance costs. The company reported a loss of R76.51 crore in the year-ago period, according to a filing to the BSE. Total income from operations fell to R1,267.26 crore in the third quarter of fiscal 2012-13 from R1,343.09 crore a year earlier. The board agreed to seek the consent of shareholders by way of a postal ballot to shift the company?s registered office to Uttar Pradesh from Maharashtra, according to a separate BSE filing.
Amazon.in launches computer store for India
Amazon.in, an affiliate of global retail giant Amazon.com, has launched a computers and accessories store for customers in India. Shoppers in the country will be able to shop 7,000-plus products from over 180 brands with the help of Amazon.in, Amazon said in a statement. It will also provide detailed product descriptions, options to shortlist products by features, customer reviews from Amazon.com and personalised recommendations, it said.
Nokia Solutions signed 7 deals in India in Jan-Jun
Global telecom equipment maker Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN) said it has signed seven deals in India during the first six months of this year. The deals include fresh Wi-Fi contracts with two operators and renewal of 2G and 3G contracts with three telecom players. The company, however, did not disclose the name of the players.
Unilever extends BT?s contract by three years
Communication services major BT said FMCG giant Unilever has extended its IT outsourcing contract by three years. This is the third time it has been extended since BT first won its contract with the Anglo-Dutch company in November 2002, BT said in a release. Unilever operates globally with famous brands like Wall?s Ice Cream, Dove beauty products, Lipton and Knorr, consumed by two billion people daily, it added.
L&T Construction bags R4,160-cr orders
Infrastructure firm L&T Construction said it has won orders worth R4,160 crore across multiple business verticals in the current quarter. ?L&T Construction has won new orders worth R4,160 crore across various business segments in July and August 2013,” the company said in a statement. The building and factories business has secured orders worth R2,319 crore across the country.
Punj Lloyd bags R358-cr order from CPCL
