While denying any possibility of bringing ?no-confidence motion?, the Opposition alliance NDA on Monday continued with its effort to fish in ??troubled water?? by asking the government to constitute a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) to look into the controversial Indo-US civil nuclear deal and also criticised it for letting Bofors case accused Ottavio Quatrocchi to leave Argentina.
Opposing the move to form an expert panel to examine and assuage the concerns of the Left, the leaders of the alliance partners felt that the issue was not their ??family affairs??.

Denying that they have formulated any ??terms of reference?? for the JPC, Malhotra said, ??It?s premature to decide on them. Let the government first agree to our demand for a JPC.??
Moreover, conceding the fact that the government might survive with all its troubles, the Opposition also denied any move to bring in ?no-confidence motion?.
