Divestment process

In the Idea Exchange programme (FE, July 27) Dharmendra Pradhan has explained clearly that it not correct to think that ?Modi government is not incompetent that ONGC will not get its rates when the divestment process begins?. On the contrary, it would be a good idea that in the process of demolishing price considerations, it is in the process of abolishing caste considerations. He also added that the government is looking at complete policy reforms covering all the nominated oil fields. ?We are making a flow chart on individual problems, policy protection needs, and areas of improvement in each of the oil fields. Our primary challenge is augmentation of domestic production.? This is welcome.

Drug price disparity

The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority should remove the price disparity of the drugs manufactured by different companies that give the same results. It is no secret that some doctors fall prey to the designs of the pharmaceutical companies offering incentives to prescribe the drugs priced at higher rates. The patients are obliged to buy the drugs prescribed by the doctors only. In this, the coffers of the pharmaceutical companies and doctors swell. Finally, patients fall victims.
