Eavesdropper: Give up LPG subsidy, for the nation!

The government has found an innovative way to deal with LPG subsidy. OMCs are sending SMSs to LPG consumers: ?Give up your LPG subsidy and be part of the nation building movement to provide subsidised cooking fuel only to the needy.? The message also tells the consumer to visit either the LPG dealer or the website of the concerned OMC to give up subsidy. Agreed, there is no harm in prompting people to give up LPG subsidy, but a better move for curbing it would be restarting the direct benefit transfer.
