Underlining the need to make intelligence sharing more effective and result oriented, Union home minister P Chidambaram on Thursday told the Lok Sabha that days before the Mumbai attack, coastguard and naval intelligence had been provided information about a suspected LeT vessel infiltrating through sea route.
Chidambaram told the House that intelligence agencies had tipped the coastguard director-general as well as principal director, naval intelligence were intimated about the suspect vessel, following which efforts were made to track it.
