Talking about her upcoming movie Khoya Khoya Chand slated to be released in October she said, “My character is of an actress in the movie and I am looking forward to it with excitement.?
When asked what makes her opt to act for any particular movie she says confessedly, “My choice of films is based on the script and my decisions are not based on my inclination to any particular culture or language, as it might be construed sometimes as matter of analysis.”
Talking about her entry in the tinsel world Soha disclosed that Bollywood seduced her. Even as she added that acting has never been her first profession and earlier she worked for Ford Foundation and Citibank.
Denying her early inclination towards acting in movies she says that she pursued her masters degree in politics from London School of Economics and Political Sciences.
Terming her voyage in Bollywood as a constant process of learning she clarifies, “I still have a long way to go before looking back actually and am still very much in the learning process.”
Talking about her role in Rang De Basanti, a movie, which received much critical acclaim, she said, “I was my self in Rang De Basanti and I put on my own clothes to play my character.
Dwelling on the importance of media she said that media is very influential these days and it could be used to have the positive influence on the society in many aspects. When asked if she had any interest of joining active politics in future, since she has done her masters in the subject, she replies straightforwardly, ?I don’t want to join politics.?
When asked on what aspect she wants to improve on herself, she said, ?I have a deep impact on the type of environment in which I have been brought in, something from which I want myself to evolve out of. I feel the need to break the conditioning of the family, where I was raised and I need to work on that.”
Summarizing her stint in Bollywood so far, Soha, gives a mature response which seems to be in non-conformity with her young age and tender looks, as she philosophises how she loves to learn from her daily life. “I have done some good work and some bad work too and always love to learn further.”
