The BJP on Wednesday took its campaign to recall HR Bhardwaj to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Top leaders of the party led by LK Advani on met Singh and complained the Karnataka Governor had failed to detach himself from his political past and proved himself to be completely unworthy of the high constitutional office that he occupies.

Having already alleged Bhardwaj played a role in creating the political trouble in the state, the BJP top brass conveyed to the PM he has converted Raj Bhawan into the epicentre of horse-trading to destabilise the BS Yeddyurappa government.

Notwithstanding the offices he held in the past... extra-constitutionalism was his firm belief and the use of extra-constitutionalism to demonstrate loyalty was always his political strategy, the party argued in a detailed memorandum to the PM.
