A 35-year-old British-Syrian man, Jihad Al-Shamie, was identified as the suspect in the deadly attack at a Manchester synagogue. He rammed his vehicle into people and stabbed a security guard on the holiest day for Jews. Al-Shamie was shot and killed by police, and was not previously known to anti-terrorism or police officials.
