US President Donald Trump strongly criticised The New York Times after it published a report raising concerns about his age and health.

The president posted an angry message on Truth Social, saying the newspaper was ‘enemy of people.’ “The Creeps at the Failing New York Times are at it again,” he wrote, calling the article a “hit piece” and he is “losing my Energy.”

Trump defended his physical and mental condition, pointing to recent medical tests. “There will be a day when I run low on Energy, it happens to everyone, but with a PERFECT PHYSICAL EXAM AND A COMPREHENSIVE COGNITIVE TEST (‘That was aced’) JUST RECENTLY TAKEN, it certainly is not now!” “This cheap ‘RAG’ is truly an ‘ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE,” he added.

‘I have never worked so hard in my life’

Trump did not forget to list his achievements on Truth social. He stated that he won the 2024 Presidential Election in a Landslide, winning all Seven Swing States, the Popular Vote, and the Electoral College by a huge margin and in one nation’s districts by 2750 to 550 which was a complete wipeout.

“I settled 8 Wars, have 48 New Stock Market Highs, our Economy is Great, and our Country is RESPECTED AGAIN all over the World, respected like never before.”

He continued by arguing that the media should acknowledge his efforts, “To do this requires a lot of Work and Energy, and I have never worked so hard in my life.

However, multiple polls have shown his approval ratings have slipped recently, as questions about his health have grown.

“The writer of the story, Katie Rogers, who is assigned to write only bad things about me, is a third rate reporter who is ugly, both inside and out,” he added.

What does the report explain?

The report raises concerns about President Trump’s age and energy levels during his current term. It says he now begins his official schedule later in the day and takes part in fewer public events than he did in his first term.

Data from the Roll Call presidential schedule shows that, on average, Trump used to start his events at 10:31 a.m. during his first term.

Now, he begins around 12:08 p.m. His total number of official events has also fallen, from 1,688 during the same period of his previous term to 1,029 this time, a drop of about 39%. However, his working days still usually finish around 5pm, just like before.

The article also mentions that Trump sometimes appears tired during public appearances and occasionally gives speeches that seem unfocused.

It says he has even spoken more openly about topics like aging and death. In 2020, medical records listed him as 6’3″ and 244 pounds, which was considered obese. In 2025, his doctor reported his weight at 224 pound, still overweight, but an improvement.
