Accusing the opposition “Radical Left Lunatics” of coming at Elon Musk’s Tesla. Triggering worldwide protests, dozens of demonstrations gathered at the Tesla showroom in Lisbon among other locations across the US, Barcelona and London.
The post read, “To Republicans, Conservatives, and all great Americans, Elon Musk is “putting it on the line” in order to help our Nation, and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! But the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great
automakers, and Elon’s “baby” in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for.”
He also reiterated his support for Tesla by stating ,”I’m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning” as a means to show his confidence in the company and Elon Musk. Sharing it on X, Elon Musk mentioned “Thank you, President”
The “Tesla Takedown” has been triggered by Elon Musk’s political role in the Trump administration as the Chief of Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Signs like “F-elon in Chief” “Deport Elon” “Where is Congress” have been spotted in the protest.
Representing the apprehension faced by many US citizens, the Tesla boycott has been seen as a retaliation towards the alleged increase of fascism in the US administration.
As protests escalate and Tesla faces an all-time low in shares, Trump’s vocal support for Elon Musk highlights the growing political divide in the nation. With Musk’s key role in the Trump administration, the backlash signifies larger ideological tensions, making Tesla a symbolic battleground in the ongoing political turmoil.
