A gut-wrenching video of a man quietly breaking down in grief as he waits for his girlfriend’s body has moved social media users, and has left many emotional. The video was recorded after the man learnt that he had lost his girlfriend in the tragic Air India flight crash that left a total of 241 passengers, including former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani, and 12 crew members dead. 

While sharing the video, journalist Tamal Saha, described the scene with raw tenderness. He wrote, “At the hospital waiting room, we found this young man. The body was yet to be handed over.”

“He quietly sat there and wept on his own. He lost his girlfriend. No one by his side but a whole bundle of memories that he has to live with for the rest of his life,” he added.

When asked who he was waiting for, the man responded with just two words that said it all. “My love,” he replied. 

“As the news broke, he rushed down from Mumbai,” Saha further said. 

The video shows him weeping quietly, lost in grief, as he waits for the hospital to hand over the dead body to him. A few seconds into the video, someone gently places a hand on his back, attempting to console him in what can only be described as an unspeakably lonely moment of loss.

The video has left people teary-eyed, with many calling it “heartbreaking” and a raw reminder of love and loss.

“Watching all this is so unbearable,” expressed one social media user. 

Another said, “Man, this is so sad.”
