American streamer Nicolas Kenn De Balinthazy, popularly known as Sneako, has come under fire for making disparaging remarks about Hindus, which many social media users think are “uncalled for”. The former YouTuber, who has faced social media bans in the past over his controversial statements, claimed during a recent livestream on Rumble that Saudi Arabia smells the best because “Hindus don’t poop on its streets”.

“It is funny. I saw people commenting on the last vlog, ‘imagine the smell, imagine the smell’. I have to say the best smelling place I’ve ever been is Saudi,” he said while taking a stroll through the streets of Medinah. 

He added, “These cities, Medinah especially. If you go inside the Prophet’s mosque, everyone is ouded up… People wash themselves five times a day. Not Hindu’s pooping in the street.”

Sneako then turned the camera to show the clean floors despite the heavy footfall. Medinah, one of Saudi Arabia’s holiest cities, is home to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (the Prophet’s Mosque) and the tombs of early Islamic leaders Abu Bakr and Umar. It also houses Masjid al-Qiblatain, where the Prophet Muhammad received the command to change the direction of prayer to Mecca.

One social media user, in response to the video, said that his comments were “uncalled for”. The user added, “No need to take shots at another’s religion. That’s not the teaching of my Prophet (SAW). You should apologise asap.”

“Dude, don’t hate any other religion. The Quran forbids speaking ill of other religions,” another joined. 

A third said, “Sorry, but this is due to Saudi infrastructure and sanitisation efforts… Nothing to do with any particular religion… Stop looking like a fool….”

“He is a retard,” chimed in an X user, while a fifth corrected him, saying that “no Hindus poop on the streets”.

The 26-year-old’s controversial statement made its way to Reddit, where users criticised him for seeking attention through inflammatory statements. “Are we really caring about what Sneako has to say? This dude is racist to everyone and wholly misogynistic,” said one Redditor. 

Another said, “He’s farming interaction. He knows that he gets engagement from angry Indians commenting on his posts so he will talk shit. It’s become commonplace now. However, he is also an extremely unstable individual with no moral character or spine when it comes to holding his ideals or opinions. I think he recently converted to Islam. So now he’s on that kick? It’s weak people like this that talk a whole lot.” Sneako converted to Islam in early 2023.

“Why should anyone listen to what this dude’s gotta say? He flip-flops on his personality like a pancake…,” someone else joined.
