Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, concluded a 170-kilometre spiritual padyatra from Jamnagar to the Shree Dwarkadhish Temple on Sunday, April 6. The journey, which began on March 29, ended on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami—just three days before his 30th birthday.

Calling the experience his “own spiritual journey,” Anant expressed gratitude after reaching the temple: “I started this by taking the name of God and ended it with his name. I thank Bhagwan Dwarkadhish and everyone who joined me.” Throughout the pilgrimage, he chanted scriptures like the Hanuman Chalisa, Sundarkand, and Devi Stotra.

The final leg of the walk saw Anant joined by his mother, Nita Ambani, and wife, Radhika Merchant. “As a mother, I feel proud to see my youngest son complete this padyatra to the divine place of Dwarkadhish,” said Nita Ambani, who is also the Founder-Chairperson of Reliance Foundation. “For the last 10 days, the youth walking with him have helped spread our culture.”

Radhika called the moment deeply meaningful, saying, “It was Anant’s wish to undertake this padyatra after our wedding. I thank everyone who blessed him and supported this journey.”

What made the padyatra particularly significant was Anant’s personal health journey. He has previously faced Cushing’s Syndrome, asthma, morbid obesity, and a serious lung condition—yet he covered the entire distance on foot. He also showed compassion during the walk by rescuing chickens from a poultry truck and ensuring they received care.

Anant acknowledged the encouragement he received from his father, Mukesh Ambani. “When I told my father I wanted to do this walk, he gave me a lot of strength and motivation,” he said.

After completing the pilgrimage, Anant offered prayers at the Dwarkadhish temple and wished everyone on the occasion of Ram Navami. “With the blessings of the Lord, my padyatra is complete,” he said.
