A man took to X (formerly Twitter) to share how learning to code changed his life for good, helping him transition from a factory worker to a full-stack developer role in just 18 months. His first-hand experience had gone viral, resonating with many social media users.

‘I didn’t believe it was possible either’

“From a factory worker to a full-stack developer in 1.5 years of grind,” the man who goes by “Sambhav.apk” online wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

He clarified that the post wasn’t meant as a flex, but as proof of what sustained effort can achieve. “1.5 years ago, I was working in a vegetable factory. 10 hours a day. Packing. Picking. Standing. Physically exhausting. Mentally draining.”

In the next few lines, he shared that financial difficulties had forced him to drop out of college, leaving him feeling stuck.

“This felt like the end of the road. A friend told me, ‘Try learning to code.’ I saved whatever money I could. Took some help from my parents. Bought a laptop,” he shared, adding that this was when he quit his factory job.

‘Learnt HTML, CSS, JavaScript’

What followed, he said, was a period of intense self-learning. “HTML, CSS, JavaScript one month. Then React. No fancy courses. Just docs, projects, and breaking things.”

His efforts led to his first internship, where he struggled initially but gradually improved.

“After 4 months, I pushed harder: Deep React (no tutorial hopping), backend basics and some DSA. That grind got me a full-stack role at a US-based company (onsite in Bhopal),” he revealed.

He added that though life tested him, he bounced back and has since been moving forward. “I quit. Took time. Regrouped. Started freelancing. Got 2 to 3 projects. Kept moving forward.”

“My journey hasn’t been clean. It’s been messy, uncertain, and uncomfortable. But here I am. 2025 was just a warm-up. 2026 is the execution. If you’re starting from zero, don’t underestimate what 1-2 years of focused grind can do.”

How did social media users react to his post?

Many social media users found his story inspiring, while others wished him luck. “That’s really Motivational. Keep pushing,” said one individual.

Another added, “‘No tutorial hopping’ is the key. Everyone wants the shortcut, but you chose the docs. That’s why you survived the transition from intern to full-stack while others stayed stuck on YouTube.”

“The type of post I pay my Internet bill for,” commented a third.

A fourth posted, “Stories like this will not inspire me! Great man.”

“This hits hard for everyone who wasn’t born with a silver spoon, grinding through tough jobs, no shortcuts, just pure determination and self-teaching. Your story is straight-up inspiration for anyone in a similar spot right now. Keep going, and thank you for sharing this,” commented a fifth.
