The baseless videos emerged online at a time when the Republican president of the country has accused the former Democratic counterpart of “treason” in connection with the 2016 election cycle.
The clips circulating across platforms employs artificial intelligence (AI) tools for its narration and groundless coverage, which mirror the videos pushing Barron and WNBA star Caitlin Clark as a couple last month.
One such video, as reported by Snopes, noted a narrator saying, “Barron Trump has just announced that Sasha Obama will be his one and only wife. Donald Trump was so furious that he was rushed to a private hospital. But Barron refuses to give up, because Sasha possesses three qualities that deeply attract him.”

In addition to being linked to Caitlin Clark and Sasha Obama in such AI-generated videos, Barron was also named alongside Princess Leonor of Spain in a similar unsubstantiated video suggesting that he had already tied the knot with the royal family member.
As for where both Barron and Sasha’s love lives stand now, NewsNation and People spilled the former “has a really nice girlfriend and hangs out with her a lot.” Meanwhile, Page Six reported back in 2022 that Clifton Powell Jr, the son of actor Clifton Powell, was the new man in Sasha’s life. As of June 2025, she was still believed to be dating the 27-year-old writer.
