In a display of dominance, Sunrisers Hyderabad batsmen demolished the bowling line up of Mumbai Indians to script the history and score the highest innings total so far in all seasons of Indian Premier League. The crowd couldn’t stop cheering as SRH posted a gigantic total of 277-3 in 20 overs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma unleashed havoc with a 24-ball 62 and 23-ball 63 respectively. Head completed his half-century in 18 balls, breaking the record for the fastest fifty by an SRH player. However, Sharma wasn’t far behind and managed to break Head’s record by smashing the half-century in mere 16 deliveries. The six-hitting machine Heinrich Klaasen took the charge during the final overs and left the fans spellbound with a thrilling 34 ball 80.

MI’s debutant Kwena Maphaka went through a nightmare after conceding 66 runs in his four over, including 20 runs in his second over and 22 runs in his third over. The yorker specialist Jasprit Bumrah conceded 36 runs and was the most economical bowler for MI. The Team has lost both their matches so far.

SRH – 277/3 vs MI, 2024
MI managed to score 246-5 and lost the match by 31 runs. Apart from Mayank Aggarwal, all the other SRH batters had a strike rate of over 150.

RCB – 263/5 vs Pune Warriors India, 2013
In this match Chris Gayle scored the highest individual score in IPL history. With 17 sixes and 13 fours, Gayle scored a 66-ball 175. Pune scored 133 runs and lost by margin of 130 runs.

LSG – 257/5 vs PBKS, 2023
Kyle Mayers, Ayush Badoni, Nicholas Pooran contributed to LSG’s huge total but Player of the Marcus Stoinis was exceptional. He scored 72 runs and picked a wicket as well. PKBS also crossed the 200 mark but lost the match by 56 runs.

RCB – 248/3 vs Gujarat Lions, 2016
RCB won this match by a margin of 144 runs. The performance by all around the ground hitter AB de Villiers was phenomenal. Gujarat Lions did not even play the 20 over and got all out on 104.

CSK – 246/5 vs Rajasthan Royals, 2010
A brilliant 127 run knock by Murali Vijay helped CSK post a good total. Rajasthan Royals started well but lost the match by 23 runs.
