JEE Main 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the correction window for JEE Main 2026, today (December 1). This feature will allow candidates to edit or update certain details in their submitted application forms. The correction facility will be available till December 2 and candidates can access it on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
To make corrections, candidates need to visit the website, open the JEE Main 2026 login page, and sign in using their application number and password.
During the correction window, students can make changes to details such as their name, parents’ names, Class 10 and 12 academic details, state code, date of birth, gender, category, PwD status, signature, exam paper choice, exam city (based on address), and exam medium.
Some information is locked and cannot be changed. These include the candidate’s mobile number, email address, permanent or present address, emergency contact details, and the uploaded photo.

JEE Main 2026: Key details
Candidates must also follow image upload rules carefully. Both colour and black-and-white photos are allowed and wearing spectacles is fine. However, sunglasses or caps are not allowed. The photo must be clear and follow the size and format requirements set by NTA. The same rules apply to the signature and other documents.
Lastly, missing the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam does not mean disqualification. Many students choose to appear only for Session 2 due to preparation time, board exams, or convenience. For admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and eligibility for JEE Advanced, the best score from either attempt will be considered.
Once candidates complete the form correction process, they will not be able to make any further changes to their submitted online application. The NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 city intimation slip to registered candidates in the first week of January 2026. This slip will allow candidates to know the city where their exam centre will be allotted. Then, 3-4 days before the exam, NTA will issue the JEE Main admit card, which will include details such as the exam centre name and address, exam date, shift, and important instructions for the exam.
