CBSE 10th result 2016: Much to the disappointment of lakhs of students, CBSE 10th result 2016 declaration did not happen on 27th May, 2016, however, authorities have declared the CBSE class 10 result 2016 on Saturday, 28th May about an hour ahead of the 2 PM scheduled time. That the results will be announced at 2 PM on Saturday was intimated on Friday on the CBSE website and results.gov.in. Students can log on to cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.nic.in, results.gov.in and results.nic.in to find out about the latest updates. Students should know that last year too there was a delay by authorities. CBSE Class 10 results were scheduled to be announced on Wednesday (May 27, 2015), but then they were postponed and were finally declared on Thursday (May 28, 2015 at 2 pm) by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). In the CBSE class 10 result 2015, girls outperformed boys. While the overall pass percentage recorded was 97.32, the pass percentage of girls was 97.82 per cent as compared to 96.98 per cent of boys. Thiruvananthapuram region witnessed highest pass percentage of 99.77 in the country, according to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 results.

In all, 13,73,853 candidates were registered for CBSE class 10 2015 examination, an increase of about 3.37 per cent over that of last year. A total of 94,474 students scored a perfect 10 CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average), of them 49,392 were boys and 45,082 girls. Chandigarh region fared the best with highest number of students, a total of 15,479, scoring perfect 10. More than 8000 students in Delhi secure the perfect 10 CGPA. (Express Photo)

Under the CCE (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation) system regular candidates appeared in both Board- and School-based evaluation system. The pass percentage of School-based evaluation system was better than that of Board-based. A total of 6,69,721 students were registered under Board-based system out of which 6,40,255 candidates qualified the Class X examination this year, with a pass percentage of 95.60. (Express Photo)

In School-based system, 6,96,366 candidates were registered out of which 6,42,814 qualified taking the pass percentage to 98.05. The number of students who fell in Compartment category stood at 41,812 this year while six candidates were under unfair means. (Express Photo)

In CBSE class 10 result 2015, Delhi region witnessed a decline in overall pass percentage of students taking this examinations, with 96.29 per cent emerging successful this year. In 2014, the pass percentage was 98.31 while in 2013 it was 98.40. A total of 2,65,064 candidates – 136319 boys and 128745 girls – from Delhi region qualified the examination. Delhi region was the largest region of CBSE in terms of numbers of candidates, a total of 275,472 registering for Class X examination. The region, however, was placed at 9th position among the 10 regions of CBSE in terms of overall pass percentage. (Express Photo)

The overall pass percentage for 2015 in Ajmer, Panchkula and Guwahati it stood at 98.03 percent, 97.97 percent and 86.55 percent respectively. Chennai boasted a pass percentage of 99.03 percent, closely followed by Trivandrum with 99.77 percent. Allahabad, Dehradun, Bhubaneshwar and Patna had a pass percentage of 98.46 percent, 97.37 percent, 97.15 percent and 98.10 percent respectively. (Express Photo)
